Sri Vishwesha Teertha swami passes away at the age of 88 on Sunday Morning

Bengaluru: Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swami was hospitalized on December 20 for the treatment of Pneumonia and according to news reports he passes away this morning. He was one of the “Ashta” Mutts of Udupi in Karnataka and only on to complete five Paryayas after Shri Vadiraja Swamiji.

Our recent meeting, on the pious day of Guru Purnima, was also a memorable one. His impeccable knowledge always stood out. My thoughts are with his countless followers”
