A Rape survivor told police that she was on her way towards the railway station for a court hearing and on her way five men including one who raped her, first hit him on the head and then attacked with a knife on neck, when she slumped they put kerosene and set her on fire.

According to UP Police chief OP Singh, the woman has been admitted to Lucknow civil hospital and she had sustained about 60 percent burns, and some people who nearby came to rescue her and the accused clear the scene soon after.

The 30-year-old rape survivor was on her way to take an early morning train at Baiswara Bihar railway station around 4:30 Am to Rae Bareli for a court hearing and at the Gaura crossing the whole scene happened.

Unnao Superintendent of police said three of five-man named by the victim have been arrested and it includes the man who had allegedly raped her.
