Himachal Pradesh: The United States Department of State or also known as U.S State Department on Wednesday has approved on deal of selling Arms and will sell Ammunition and other materials to Government of India, as per the statement from Department of Defense (DOD) the proposed sale will include 13 MK 45 5 inch/62 caliber (MOD 4) guns (Naval) and along with its related equipment, and this whole proposed sale is valued $1 billion.

Govt of India has 30 days window from when the certificate of Arms sale has received and with 30-days they have to raise any objections to the sale and tell any kind of issue with the proposed sale, sale includes ammunition, spare parts, training of personnel and equipment, technical data, publications, technical and logistical assistance, and transport.

According to DOD (Department of Defense), The Mk-45 Gun System will provide the capability to conduct anti-surface warfare and anti-air defense missions while enhancing interoperability with the US and other allied forces.
